The team behind Well B Festival has today confirmed the postponement of its debut event, originally scheduled to take place this April.
It is a decision that comes with real weight.
Over recent weeks, the team has worked relentlessly behind the scenes, doing everything possible to bring Well B to life. Every option was explored. Every scenario considered. Every effort made to find a way for the hive to gather safely.
But despite that determination, the conclusion became clear.
This is not the right moment to deliver the festival in the way it was intended.
A Call Made with the Community in Mind
“This is not what we wanted. We’ve been working around the clock, like a proper hive, trying to make this happen in some shape or form. Because it mattered to us that we showed up for people. But ultimately, we have a responsibility to get this right, and right now, we can’t.”
Jamie Cormack, Co-Founder
“Well B isn’t just an event you can force into existence. It’s something that needs the right conditions to thrive. The right energy. The right environment. And if those things aren’t there, then it’s our job to recognise that and pause.”
Toby Harris, Co-Founder
The Hive Before Everything
Well B was built on a simple idea.
The hive.
A collective of people coming together to move, connect, support and create something bigger than themselves.
In moments of uncertainty, that idea becomes even more important.
There was a strong desire to press ahead in some capacity, to give the community something to rally around. But the wellbeing of everyone involved, from partners and participants to the wider community, had to come first.
And that is what has guided this decision.
A City That Knows How to Rise
Dubai has never been a city that stands still.
It adapts. It responds. It finds a way forward.
Time and time again, it has shown that resilience is not just a characteristic, it is part of its identity.
That same resilience sits at the heart of Well B.
And it is what gives the team complete confidence that this is simply a pause, not a full stop.
The Buzz Doesn’t Disappear
“We’re gutted. There’s no point pretending otherwise. But we’re also incredibly proud of what’s been built so far, and even more motivated for what comes next. Sometimes you have to take a step back, reset, and come back stronger.”
Jamie Cormack, Co-Founder
“The support, the messages, the energy around Well B — that buzz is real. And it hasn’t gone anywhere. If anything, it’s louder now. That tells us everything we need to know about what this can become.”
Toby Harris, Co-Founder
More Than an Event
The team also acknowledged the impact recent weeks have had across Dubai and the wider region, both personally and professionally for many.
They reiterated that Well B was never just about a weekend in a calendar.
It is about people.
It is about connection.
It is about community.
And if there is anything the team can do to support that community in the meantime, they have encouraged people to reach out.
Well B Festival will return.
And when it does, the hive will gather as it was always meant to.
Stronger. Louder. Together.
What will Bee, will Bee.
